I was really curious at Take To The Skies because there has been a lot of talk about Enter Shikari, and many predict them to become huge.
Let’s begin by explaining what Enter Shikari sounds like to people who don’t know the band. They themselves claim to get their influences from listening to Faithless, 36 Crazyfists, Comeback Kid, and The Prodigy. And indeed Enter Shikari combines these influences from house music, emocore, Britpop and hardcore into their music. They do this in a way that makes them sound unique but also like something you have heard before and thereby not odd at all.

The fun thing about Enter Shikari is that they just do whatever they want to do: While one song contains low grunts and heavy mosh parts another could easily fit the latest Oasis album.

For me personally the band uses to much emo influences to really grab my attention. But bands that try something different always deserve to be heard and I’m sure Enter Shikari can interest a big audience with their wide mix of influences. It isn’t really something you can write about, it’s something you’ll have to hear for yourself.

So check out the CD for yourself or visit them on www.entershikari.com
