The monsters of Gwar returned and they have delivered a great thrasher. I silently hoped on a RagNaRok like album. But what I got was even better.

I think that they are more seriously composing their music. This brings forth tracks like `War Is All We Know`, `Murderers Muse`, and `I Love The Pigs`; all real metal, with a Gwar taste.
Oderus Urungus sings his longs out with a new story about Hell and War (and anything in between). With `Back in Crack` this album ends the path through Apocalypse.

The extra track `School’s Out` is a bit redundant; it must be a Gwar personal favourite. It`s a very well produced album with the clear sounds from hell. The one responsible for this fine sound is the great Devin Townsend. That makes this Gwar story a real successful one.

Heavy metal that makes you smile and headbang at the same time. Beyond Hell is a must for Gwar fans and if you dig heavy bands like Testament, and adding a little comedy in it, then you also will appreciate this Gwarsterpiece.
