After winning the metal bash in 2005, Non Divine comes with their first full length, called ‘Asylum 45’. They prove with this outing that the prize they won wasn’t an accident.

‘Asylum 45’ is full of groovy and catchy metal. Already with the opener ‘One man, one soul’, the drums, rhythmic guitars and catchy choruses get your attention. And it doesn’t let go. `Cause it grooves, but that doesn’t mean they simply play riffs and patterns. No, Non Divine exists of talented songwriters who know how to build a melody and some technical patterns on a metal basis.
Sometimes it reminds me of the melodic parts of Fear Factory, but it’s not a direct link to that band. They don’t use those electronics or fast blast parts.

Instead they choose to write transparent sounding songs (thanks to Jacob Hansen). Tracks like ‘In shame’ or ‘Sympathy’, will replay themselves in your head. They contain a cool vibe and atmosphere, and that maybe forms a contrast with the lyrics, who deal about psychiatric patients with personal problems. Every song is a chapter with a different story. Interesting concept which will be accentuated by the live shows (white suits, strait-jackets, the works).

Non Divine delivers a record of which we, Dutch people can be proud of (and it’s the second of the month after Devious` recent record ‘Domain). Asylym 45 is and addictive record which you can listen to more than once a day.
