When you combine the metal of Slayer and the core from Cro-Mags, you get the metalcore All Out War creates. They can not really be compared to the metalcore that tons of bands play nowadays. In the mid 90’s Merauder and All Out War were the leaders of this genre. All Out War really created a style of their own, and this can still be heard on Assassins In The House Of God. The band`s previous release (`Condemned To Suffer`) was somewhat more inspired by metal and turned out not to really fit All Out War. With some old members back on board they seem to have found their style back and the new album will take you back to the days of `Truth In The Age Of Lies` and `For Those That Were Crucified`.

The cool thing about All Out War is that they don’t follow certain trends or hypes. They do the exact same thing as they did ten years ago.

Singer Mike Score still scream about the apocalypse and the fall of mankind. The riffs and songs could easily fit their first albums. No revolutionary changes with this new album also, it`s just All Out War like they should sound.
I can understand if `Assasins In The House Of God` is your first encounter with All Out War, it doesn’t sound like the toughest and most aggressive thing you’ve heard in ages and maybe sounds a little dated. But ten years ago they were the hardest hardcore band around, and with those thoughts in the back of my head; they still are. If you do know their old work, it’s time to revisit those days with `Assassins In The House Of God`. If you don’t, this album is a good way to get acquainted.
