Metalcore in vein of Born from Pain is what we get from the Dutch band Enemy Ground. The songs and especially the vocals on ‘In memory of them all’ remind me a lot of Born From Pain’s older material. The thing that makes Enemy Ground differ from a lot of bands in this genre is the way they use death metal influences. The band does this by using some low-pitched vocals and here and there a riff that could fit a band like Job For A Cowboy. | |
But the main influence is clearly BFP.
The guest vocals on ‘The Plow’ by Jacob Bredahl from Hatesphere (and also the producer) give a nice addition to ‘In Memory Of Them All’. All in all a nice album that doesn’t bore me for a second because the band use enough different influences to keep it fresh.
