This is metalcore I really dig and the special edition of ‘Pressure the Hinges’ counts, including three fine bonus tracks, 16 superb metallic hardcore songs.
The album`s opener starts with recognizable metalcore with brutal screams and catchy clean songlines. The rhythm section is tight and focused. Great breakdowns combined with nice choruses to scream along to. All of this combined with a great production. Haste the Day sticks to a great level of intensity and never bores. | |
You get a little breath catching time with the song ‘Janet’s Planet’, a slow metal ballad with a dragging guitar riff.
The album is full of great `mosh` guitar riff moments but also leaves enough time for the melodic guitar parts. Variation of brutal coregrunts and melodic clean singing makes this an accessible album for every metalcore listener and more. A promising album from a metalcore formation we`ll hopefully hear more of.
