The kings of psychobilly have made a new album. And yeah it`s great creepy sounding rock & roll. You could easily place it in Tarrantino movies. The psychobilly sound is like a mixture of rockabilly like the Stray Cats with the looks of a punkrock band. Horror, Perversion, and Death, that`s what they`re inspired by and you feel it and hear it in the songs. Typical sixties guitar, drum play and contra bass with a real LP sound.
There`s also enough variation on the album with songs like ‘The Phantom Rider’ and ‘Shadow Time’. | |
You can hear that they are the pioneers of the genre.
The sinister voice of P Paul Fenech makes `The Hellbound` an album you really like or really don’t like. If you like the Stray Cats and/or sixties rock & roll with a spooky sound, you have to check this out.
This is a very special album indeed, because they are the only real psychobilly band on this entire planet(so they say). Judge it yourself.
