With the volume of my stereo on almost max output I woke up in a second, listening to this The Chariot album. Dillinger escape plan-like adrenaline pumping hardcore. Insane screaming and cool breaks and riffs, it all comes back in this adrenaline shot. `The Fiancée` has good, raw production with the vocals and instruments in great balance.
Starting with the kick in the face ‘Back to Back’. That`s quickly followed up with high quality technical hydra grind. ‘And Shot Each Other’ with Indians (I think) singing on the back and ‘Then Came to Kill’ combined with clean björk sounding singing are great. | |
Cool combinations of frenetic chaos and hardcore with an awesome screaming singer. ‘Forgive Me Nashville’ is a good finisher and a solid hardcore track with a gospel choir to end this insanity in rest & peace.
They’re a little less schizophrenic and frantic as Dillinger Escape Plan, and that makes `The Fiancée` by The Chariot accessible for a wider audience.
