Just a few days ago I reviewed the new Job For a Cowboy record. I said they’d probably end up in my top 5 albums of the year, but if I keep getting albums like this one send to my address this might be a problem for JFAC.

Scotland’s Man Must Die actually uses a lot of the same elements JFAC does. Modern deathmetal combined with thrashmetal and some math-parts. The only difference is that Man Must Die is more melodic than there ‘genre-buddies’ The Red Chord and JFAC. They use more Swedish thrash/death influences which makes The Human Condition an album that’s more open to fans of that genre as well.

Production wise The Human Condition sound brutal and tight, but the drums sound a little too digital for my taste. A more natural drumsound would make the overall sound thicker and less ‘computerish’. But that’s the only negative criticism I have, because this till a few days ago unknown band to me really blew me away.

If you’re into The Red Chord, Job For A Cowboy, The Black Dahlia Murder, At The Gates or Kataklysm you need to check out this cd.
