The Toilet Boys are strongly influenced by traditional seventies-hardrock like “The Runaways” and early “Kiss”. I can imagine this band to be much more raw and explosive when playing live; but the album sounds a bit too poppy to my taste, with here and there a punky side step. The guitar occasionally sounds a bit cheap and sharp and the vocals are sometimes even nagging.

Nevertheless, the basic ideas are quite alright, and you can hear some stunning qualities of some band members (listen to the cooperation between the two guitars). Most songs start very good and some can keep a certain drive, and hold the attention of the listener. Others get a bit boring, maybe due to overproduction or wrong priorities while recording.
