Heidevolk is a Dutch folk metal band that sings in Dutch. With other bands (none folk bands) I always have the idea that singing in your own languages doesn’t give you any chance in other countries, but with folk it’s different. Bands like Korpiklaani and Vintersorg have enjoyed some glimmer of success in Europe. So why not a Dutch singing folk metal band, they must have thought.

There are three songs on this EP. One earlier released song called `Het Bier Zal Weer Vloeien` (a song about beer), a cover of a Dutch band called Normaal and a new song.

As every folk band Heidevolk is singing about the old gods, beer and women.
This three song EP is just to let you know about the existence of this band and to maybe get some more shows. It’s a good thing that they wanted some more attention and they put out this very nice EP.
