You love them or you hate them, but in both situations you have to admit that they are wonderful musicians. Iīm talking about Dream Theater and Iīm with the group that hates them.

I admit that they are great musicians who can compose great sounding songs... Itīs just not made for me. The songs are too long, for example the song `In The Orecence of Enemies - Part II` lasts more then fifteen minutes. I lost my concentration after five minutes. I really gave this album a try with a few listening sessions and I understand why people love it. It has great soloīs and you can hear that the band worked hard at composing the songs. Thatīs also a mistake you can make as band. Sometimes you spent much time in making a song perfect, than it doesnīt sound natural anymore.

Dream Theater still has a natural sound but they shouldn`t take it any further than this.
The album is definitely not boring (I only lost my concentration). In the songs there are a lot of different things on offer, like hard parts, soft parts, mosh parts, nearly anything you can imagine. Thatīs what makes this too much for me. Still, the way Dream Theater does this is great and they are possibly the only ones who can do it as they do.

There will be a lot of people who love this album and I can definitely understand that. The quality from the musicians is so high that they really deserve a high rating, in spite of that this is not my kind of music I can be very positive about it.
