Mister Mustaine is a great musicians with a special personality. Thereīs always something wrong around his person and itīs never his fault. A few years ago he told us that Megadeth was dead, but after a successful tour and a new album heīs back with his band.
His newest baby is called United Abominations and itīs definitely the comeback of this year.
The old school Megadeth sound is back, thatīs the first thing you`ll notice when you put United Abominations in your compact disc player. The raw Mustaine vocals sounds like 20 years ago and the pleasure he has in playing this songs blasts out of your speakers.
The songs are filled with the thrash riffs that made them popular and this is the thing that can make them popular again. | |
Thereīs no band at this moment who has this old school thrash sound. Mustaine was one of the founders of this genre and with this album he prooves that heīs also the one whoīs the most dedicated to it.
You can find the song A Tout Le Monde (Set Me Free) on this record. The song was released on the Youtanasia album before. They recorded the song again, only this time with Cristina Scabbia van Lacuna Coil. This is what makes the song better then it already was. Mustaine wanted to give this song more attention then it had in 1994 when MTV refused to play their video clip.
With a new label, the death of their mascot Vic Rattlehead and the old school sound this is definitely a new start for Megadeth.
