One of Dutch best metal bands has got a new album and it´s called Emission Phase. The band is called Detonation and their newest effort is, again, a killer album.

Throughout the years Detonation created their own and recognizable sound. It sounds a lot like the Gothenburg melodic/ death/ thrash metal (put it all in a blender and you got Detonation). The album contains a lot of catchy riffs and blastbeats. The melodic parts this band uses are worth listeninig to several times and the guitarwork is superb. The band is still growing in their songwriting and I hope this isn`t going to stop for the next few years.
This band has got the potential to become one of Europes biggest. All their releases are good and gave me the feeling that metal isn´t dead yet.

Detonation recorded this album together with Jochem Jacobs and Bouke Visser who also worked for Textures and Autumn. Those two guys are probably the ones who gave this album the extra´s it needed to be even better then Detonation´s previous albums.

Unfortunately nothing is perfect. Sometimes the band uses clean vocals, please don´t do this again. That`s my tip for the band.
