This album from Another Messiah was reviewed ear by Rockezine.com but at that time it was just a demo. Now they inked a deal with Restrain Records and they officially released this album.
This Dutch band travelled throughout Europe already so they have got already some live-experience. The songs on this album were recorded somewhere in 2005. That’s a while ago, so the band must have a more professional and mature sound at this moment.
On `Dark Dreams, My Child` takes Another Messiah us on some kind of journey. Compare the sound to Opeth, Tiamat and bands like Orphanage. Their style is a lot like doom metal with some death metal.
Fast passages combined with slow parts put in long songs. This band can keep your attention in their longer songs, they surprised me almost in every song (although there are some boring parts, but they don’t need to be mentioned here). | |
The nine songs on this album give you a feeling that you travel around the brains of vocalist Robbie de Klerk, his vocal sound fits perfectly in the atmosphere this band creates on this album.
Another Messiah is definitely a band to keep your eye on and we`ll definitely hear some good things from in the future.
