Math metal is not the easiest music to listen to. It costs you a lot of energy to listen good to the weird guitar riffs and the tempo changes make it very unpredictable.
Myotonia is on of those math metal bands, you love it or you hate it.

Myotonia has listened very well to The Dillinger Escape Plan when they wrote these songs. They copy their sound very good.

On this eight song CD the band shows you eight heavy hard hitting songs with a lot of screaming and weird guitar riffs. You can hear that the band really worked at their song writing to put all the different riffs and tempos in the songs.

Because of the lot of tempo changes and fast played riffs it’s possible that you get very tired after listening all the songs. For this kind of music you need to be in the mood, otherwise you won’t like it. That why it’s cold math metal I guess.

When you like Apiary, Dillinger and With Passion you will like this one too. In a few months Moytonia will release a full length, so in the meantime you can listen to this teaser.
