If you like bluesy hard rock with catchy riffs Evidence Once is the right band. With The Sky is the Limit this German band releases their third album. Frontman and singer Carsten “Lizard” Schuld has a somewhat hoarse voice. In 2006 the band introduced new guitar player Joerg “Warthy” Wartman, he is a great asset to the band. The music has a lot of influences of the Swiss band Krokus.

The Sky is the Limit is quite guitar oriented, Warthy gets a lot of space to play his solos (listen to the solo of ‘Propaganda’), he even plays solos when Carsten “Lizard” Schuld sings.

The production and mix are outstanding, the vocals and guitar playing are complementary to each other; therefore the songs sound great.

The album is a collection of catchy rhythms (‘The Sky Is The Limit’), up tempo songs (‘Mr. Madness’), heavy rock songs (‘Mindmines’) slow tempo songs (‘The Luxury Of Losing Home’, Raging Winds’) and ballads (‘Won’t Sleep Alone’).

The music isn’t original but performed great. With “The Sky is the Limit” Evidence Once has released a convincing bluesy hard rock album that hard rock fans surely will appreciate.
