How to describe the music Municipal Waste makes, funcore would be to sweet and pure thrash wouldn’t be right either. I think I’ll keep it at party thrash or thrashcore. Bands that came into my head while listening to ‘The art of partying’ were S.O.D and Slayers ‘Undisputed attitude’ (you know the album were Slayer covers punkbands). That the band doesn’t take things to serious and fun is a big element can be found in the song titles as well. Titles as ‘Headbanger face rip’, ‘Lunch hall food brawl’ and ‘Beer Pressure’ say it all.

However don’t take Municipal Waste to lightly just because the subjects they sing about might be about having fun, the music is super tight and with eighties thrash combined with power driven hardcore the band does what haven’t been done for years. Die hard thrashmetal fans as well as hardcore kinds will enjoy this band. A fresh and kickass album!
