Last year was the first time I heard of Hurtlocker when a friend of mine talked to me about them. As I am very curious I listened to their first album Fear In A Handful Of Dust. My thoughts on this band? Not bad… not bad at all. This is why I’m glad to review their new baby, Embrace the fall.
Like almost every other band, this record has evolved since their first. So this makes Embrace the fall even better. They sticked to their very aggressive thrash metal-sound and I think a lot of people will enjoy that as a lot of bands change their sound as they grow further. | |
I also noticed a lot of variety in their music as in their vocals without losing that aggressive drive, which is very positive as well.
I’m very excited to see what this record will do when it is released. And so is the band. “We can’t wait for everyone to hear this new album. The sound and songs are better than anything we have ever put together. We are hungrier than we have ever been, and we are here to stay. The new shit kills, and we look forward to seeing you all on the road.”
Well, I’m sure I’ll be there.
