Danzig is a statement for almost over 20 years. Therefore he has dug in his huge evil and dark archive and found some lost tracks. These tracks are recorded on two cd’s. Danzig isn’t a great singer; he sounds somewhat forced and you like it or you don’t. The lost tracks are release on 2 cd’s.
Cd1 contains the oldest of the tracks; they sound like the 60th and 70th metal. Most of the songs are clearly influenced by legendary bands of that time like Jimmy Hendrix (‘Pain is like An Animal’), the Doors (both versions of ‘When Death has No Name’) and Procal Harem (‘Cold Cold Rain’). Besides these influences there are also great heavy rock songs like ‘Buick Mckane’.

The songs on the second cd are less “antique” than the songs on part one except ‘Lick the blood Of My Hands’ (sounds like Muddy Waters). The songs definitely sound heavier and vary from psychedelic rock (‘Crawl Across Your Killing Floor’, ‘Malefical’) to real metal (‘Soul Eater’). The weirdest song is the last one ‘Unspeakable Shango Mix’, a very experimental song. The album ‘The Lost Tracks’ might be interesting for the fans of the 60th metal and of course the real Danzig fans, it could be an addiction to the Danzig-collection.
