Has The Absence made some progress since `From Your Grave?` That’s the first question that comes to mind while you look at the cover of their newest album. The answer to that question is: yes. Riders From The Plague shows you that the band is in a speedboat which won’t stop for the coming years.

This album blows out of your house from the beginning till the end.
The music you hear is just melodic death metal played very strong. And when you know how death metal mixed with some thrash sounds you know this one. The special things about this release is definitely the sound and vibe it has.
The sound is very clean and gives you the idea that the band is playing in your own room.

The buttons in the studio were set on the right place. That a very big “big up” for Jonas Kjellgren. This man did a great job.
There’s also a Testament cover; `Into The Pit`. I’m not fond of covers but they did a nice job.

The final question you can ask after hearing Riders Of The Plague: Can they make more progression?
So when you dig Arch Enemy, Soilwork, a little bit Amon Amarth and Testament, you need this one.
