I’ve hardly ever read an information sheet that was more spot on. I’m not going twist some words to write an original review. “June’s unique brand of striking of strikingly upbeat pop-rock has been elevated to a whole new level of dance-potential with upcoming second album Make It Blur. By encompassing a whole host of musical influences from the very pop right through the very rock. June have crafted a record packed to the rim with melodic gems.” Of course this statement is slightly colored. I for one wouldn’t call the brand of the band unique. In my opinion it’s pretty close to all popular rock bands, Di-rect and Greenday to name just two. | |
Also the songs on Make It Blur are above average, but to call them gems is just one step too far. Still, most of the songs have got that distinctive punkrock bounce potential. All are easy to listen to. Just that might be a problem for most of our readers. After one or two songs the band starts to get very predictable. As you can probably judge by the cover and the band name, June is no tough band. These guys might just be in it for the girls. Ladies and ladylike lads with a limited CD collection might enjoy Make It Blur. (Geert) |
