This is an english re-release of ‘ Lagrimas De Sangre’. They probably thought it would be better for the record sales if they sing in English instead of Spanish, so here is the translation of that record called ‘Tears of Blood’.

A year ago I reviewed ‘Ave Fenix’ and didn’t like it at all. Good to hear they’ve made some progression. Silver Fist is a thrashy metal band with some power and heavy metal influences. The songs are built up around a guitar wall and some catchy vocals. Opener ‘The Fear’ is a perfect example of this. The riffs are pretty catchy and cool sounding. They vary from typical thrash riffs to some rock and roll influences. Vocalist Silver sings a lot of repeatable lines over these riffs and that makes that this album is enjoyable to listen to.

But enjoyable or not. Silver Fist is far from original, but I guess they don’t care about it. The enthousiastic feeling and playing excitement is more important than write some innovative music. And that’s no shame. ‘ Tears of blood’ sounds like the band has a great time during the recording process and are constantly kicking on their own riffs and music. Not all the songs are high quality stuff, but as a whole, this record is something you can listen to while cleaning the kitchen. See how quick the dishes are done, and notice yourself hopping from one leg to another, with a baseball pet placed backwards.
