Sometimes you receive an album which you can’t really give a good place. This is what happened to me when I was listening to Synore from Magnacult.
Synore is the debut album from a band that started in 2005 and contains some members from Demia and Fluff.
The album has got a very aggressive sound but it sounds a little bit disorderly sometimes. You can’t really focus on the songs while listening through this thing. The guitarsound is too heavy and too much in the front; sometimes you can’t even hear the drums.
The songs are a mix of death, thrash and some progressive metal. This mix makes it off course an album which should sound like a metalcore album. | |
Not very special sounding and certainly not innovating.
The aggressive sound is the work of their vocalist. This guy gives the band the brutal and aggressive sound. He knows how to work with his voice and gives the whole album a higher rate. He doesn’t have a special voice, he just knows how to work with it.
Synore is not the debut of the year. It’s a nice album to check out; but I think these guys can do much better.
