The Generators a 5 piece punk rock & roll band from Los Angeles brought us another solid album called ‘The Great Divide’. With a more melodic sound then most punk bands and sometimes catchy song lyrics they confirm their qualities in developing punk music. The title track is filled with very fine guitar parts that gives it a more rock & roll feel.
Their also not afraid of blending other styles in the songs, little ska here ‘What I’ve Become’ little rockabilly there ‘A Turn For The Worse’ but overall ‘The Great Divide’ offers just good punk rock songs. | |
Good melodic guitar parts en good tribute of vocalist Doug Dagger. Drummer Dirty Ernie is pounding the drums with devotion and gives this album an energetic feel.Even cover ‘Paint it Black’ sounds pretty good even when it is not as good as the original of the Rolling Stones. The recording sounds clear and completes this album. I think this is really a fine album for almost every punk/rock listener.
