Tripsis is the third Algemist album to be release out side of Australia. I must admit that I’m not familiar with these death metal band. Listening to Tripsis it imediately became clear to me that these guys know what they are doing. Alchemist plays a sufisticated kind of death metal. It’s not just a riff, a melody or one beat, it’s a welcome balance of every thing the death metal genre has to offered, spiced up with elements of stoner, punk or progressive metal.

Tripsis is one of the most intence death metal releases I’ve ever heard. One small point of criticism is that it’s not a bad thing to shift back a gear so once in a while. Tripsis is full speed ahead metal that will definitely be appealing to a lot of metal fans. This is one worth checking out!
