Listening to Voyagers second full length album Univers, immediately brought back to mind the stuff I wrote about their debut Element V. I praised this heavy melodic metal band for their talent to easily turn from the heaviest riffs into excellent melodies and cobine some delicate vocal melodies with the occasional grunt. This time they’ve exploided their talent even further. Reading back my previous review it became obvious that the band made a huge step forward with their new album.

Toe crushing sections that spoiled most of Element V are absent and the sound is much better balanced, due to a better production. Voyager definitely matured, the replacement of the original drummer and guitarist might have something to do with this. Univers is an excellent album that surpasses Element V in every possible way.
