If I tell you that La-Ventura is yet another female fronted gothic metal band from the Netherlands, you can probably guess that their sound isn’t far off from the better known Dutch gothic acts Delain, Autumn, Asrai, Nemesea and Epica. This year La-Ventura will be supporting the first three bands. The music of La-Ventura is closest to Delain. The bedut “A New Beginning” isn’t half as good as Delain’s succesful debut “Lucidity” though, not too surprising because La-Ventura isn`t singed to a major label (yet).

I’d entitle the album “A Promising Beginning”. I will sure keep my eye on this band. I have no doubt that this band will improve and might even surprize me in the near future.
