And again Overkill delivers a very good trash album.Still you can hear that it is Overkill. The crispy riffs, breaks of Dave Linsk and the voice of Bobby "Blitz" Ellsworth do the job once again.10 hammer songs with the useall overkill sound. The first 3 songs "Devils in the Mist","What it Takes" and "Skull and Bones"are amazingly heavy ,crunchy and trashy. That they like AC/DC your can hear in 2 songs:"Hellish Pride and "Walk Through Fire" but still they trash. | |
And then there is something new, some modern influence as in track 3 "Skull and Bones" with vocalist D.Randell Blyth(lamb of god)that makes this album even better. Also you hear some clean vocals. But nevertheless a very good album for everyone who like Overkill or TRASH music in general.Back to the eighties? Yes and no, and that`s why they still are going strong.Buy it and play it over and over and over again. (Peter) |
