Come Death 9 tracks - playing time: 42:31 min.

Though sounding like US death metal, Blood Red Throne hails from Norway. Band member Tchort (ex-Emperor) compares their new album’s sound to Considered Dead by Gorguts and Despise the Sun by Suffocation. Add a bit Norwegian influence like Myrkskog or Zyklon and you are in the right direction.
The vocals are low, growling grunts, sometimes in duet with screaming vocals (sometimes a bit soft due to a bad mix). | |
The drums are pounding and tight, but not over-triggered. Bass guitar is for a change clearly audible. It is great to hear that the instrument has its own role, making the music much more interesting. Guitars heavy and groovy and are inferior to drums and bass guitar, causing the music to be very rhythmic. Do not expect any endless guitar solos.
A solid death metal release with a strong, groovy sound.
