DC4 features Armored Saint-guitarist Jeff Duncan. He also takes care of the vocals on this new album and he proves to be quite a powerful singer as well. His voice sometimes even sounds somewhat like his Saint-friend John Bush. The line-up is completed by Hyland Church-guitars, Matt Duncan-bass/backing vocals and Shawn Duncan-drums. The album is produced, engineered and mixed by another Saint-friend, Joey Vera. "Volume One" is a very solid yet swinging and exciting album.

Do you like Armored Saint? Then you`ll surely love this one as well. Not that DC4 copies this great band but it certainly features some typical Saint-melodies, like in the beginning of ".44" and the opening track "Playing House". Other beautiful fragile moments are the ballad "Marianne" and the instrumental last track "4196". If you`re in need of a quality rock album, then "Volume One" won`t dissapoint you.
