If you`re a metal freak, then there is no way that you have never heard of the man with one the highest screaming voices of the last 20 years. You just have to know the man who influenced the Teutonic metalscene like no one else did. Of course, we`re talking about Udo Dirkschneider, the former singer of the famous Accept and mainman of his own band for several years now. This is their new album, "Man And Machine". Don`t expect any suprises with this experienced artist. The production is more than okay and the instrumental and vocal performances are very solid. The record gives you some good old German heavy metal. | |
The current U.D.O. line-up features Udo Dirkschneider-vocals, Stefan Kaufmann-guitars, Igor Gianola-guitars, Fitty Wienhold-bass and Lorenzo Milani-drums. If you like the music from the early Accept days, then you`ll surely enjoy listening to rocking U.D.O. songs like the titletrack, "Hard To Be Honest", "Private Eye" or "Black Heart". There`s one song on the album which they really shouldn`t have recorded at all. It`s a boring ballad sung by Udo together with Doro Pesch (ex-Warlock). Frightening really, bbrrrr.
