Mwaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrgghhh! The whole planet is going astray! Everybody is corrupt and we`re all gonna die! AAAAAAAAAWAAAWAAAAW
AAAAAAARRRRRRGGGHHH!!!
The message is clear. Humanity is doomed and we`ve got ourselves to blame. We`re destroying our minds, our bodies and the planet too. If there will be any survivers left after the disaster we`re heading for and they`re able to make a movie or documentary about it My Minds Mine deliver the perfect soundtrack. 24 songs in just over 20 minutes, including 4 minutes of silence. Good old-fashioned Grindcore of the highest quality. Old Napalm Death combined with the tightness of Terrorizer. Of course it`s dangerous to compare bands to the very best the genre has to offer but My Minds Mine get pretty close. Most of the songs are really, really fast but there`s some mid tempo stuff too. Well, mid tempo... What mid tempo is for this band is still pretty fast for any regular punk or hardcore band. | |
In between songs you can hear noise and humming from the amps and some occasional feedback. This gives the album a real live feel and keeps the pressure on. No rest for the wicked I suppose.
My Minds Mine are almost becoming veterans by now. They released several split 7 inch EP`s with bands from all over the world and this is their second full length album. They played with bands like Napalm Death, Nasum and Last Days Of Humaity. The band recently did a tour in Japan and it was a succes. Put this cd in your computer and you can see why. Included is a compilation of video recordings that were made during that tour. Pretty impressive, except for the handycam sound quality of course. Anyway, all this touring and recording made them a tight unit. Too bad all the songs are very short. Just a couple of longer tracks would make it all a lot more interesting. Still, it`s the best grindcore I`ve heard in a long time.
