If you start with the German words “Wir sind nicht gleich, ganz im gegenteil” (“we are not equal, just the contrary”) then you make enemies and friends with just one slogan. This time CYBORG ATTACK should make a lot of friends, because the song ‘Blutgeld (part 1)’ is about the misuse of power and money. The solution might be a bit harsh, but the feeling of anger should be recognizable. The electronic music that supports these German and English spoken words create an album you just have to love if you need an outlet for pain and aggression. CYBORG ATTACK also proves again that, the now very successful, Rammstein is not a lonesome dove in Germany. Although ‘Blutgeld’ has nothing to do with guitar-orientated industrial, the feeling of some songs is similar. The use of repeating electronic beats resembles the current German hype. | |
CYBORG ATTACK is however far more industrial-orientated (think Wumpscut and Feindflug – especially when you consider the German spoken samples - for instance). There’s no guitar on this record; just heavy repeating beats. This album also proves that especially the German language is perfect for this hard, cold music. The rough voice of Sandro Franz is as heavy as the emotions he shouts out. The lyrics contain topics like ignorance, death, dark visions, war, hate and pain so you will understand that this music is not for all those happy, shiny people…
Perfect darkness into an electronic world.
