This isn’t music; this is ART!!!!!!
Try to stay with your two feet on the ground, but STILLSTE STUND has created an absolute MASTERPIECE with this one. ‘Ursprung Paradoxon’ is a fabulous musical; it ’s a spooky fairytale in music. The people on this magical album aren’t just singing. No, they play a different character in every song. The music is a mixture of electronics/industrial and classical instruments. The co-operation between the voices of Oliver, Birgit and Imanis works wonderfully. The lyrics sometimes are based on legends, like ‘Mühlt Mahlt’, which is based on “Krabat”. The “Ursprung Paradoxon” intro is inspired by a chapter of R. Stallman’s novel “The Beast”. That there’s a quote by Friedrich Nietzsche in the booklet shows that STILLSTE STUND is serious about making albums. | |
Mastermind Oliver Uckermann (the man behind most of the lyrics and music) however never treads on a path that can’t be followed anymore. Words are just not enough to describe this music, but if you have to convince readers like you it would have to be like this: STILLSTE STUND has got the theatre of King Diamond (for metal heads), the musical statement of Marilyn Manson (for industrial lovers) and the brilliance of an old, beautiful fairytale (for electro, wave, gothic and gothic metal lovers and for readers of books). If you put all of this together and you mix it with an overwhelming sauce of STILLSTE STUND than you find a result like this: this isn’t music, this is ART!!!!!!
