Here’s another part of the Relapse singles serie. A very cool initiative if you ask me. For those of you who don’t know, Exhumed are heavily influenced by (old) Carcass (rip), Repulsion (rip) and old thrash metal. This morgue staff vomit out 3 songs including the Carcass cover ‘Exhume To Consume’. They also appeared on the Carcass tribute with that song last year. The Exhumed version is pretty good, but not as good as the original ofcourse. The second song ‘Torso 2000’ ends with a part of Repulsion’s ‘Black Breath’, which is cool. This song has a sing-along chorus, just like the last song ‘Emeticide’. They are typical Exhumed songs but unfortunately not as great as on their amazing ‘Slaughtercult’ album.

The songs are just not as good and the same thing goes for the weak production. Lets hope it’s not a bad omen... Sorry guys, I know you can do better than this!

I never heard of Gadget before. And I won’t bore you with Inspector Gadget jokes either. They are from Sweden and one of the members also plays in the death metal band Withered Beauty. WB released an album on Nuclear Blast a few years ago. I didn’t know they still exist. Whatever... Gadget is much better! Gadget is surprisingly good! They blast out four filthy grindcore songs which reminds me a lot of their fellow countrymen Nasum. Short, fast and intense. Even though Gadget is not as good as Nasum, this is definitely worth checking out!
