Daniel Myer (also known from Haujobb) creates with this “Deception” an album filled with a combination of industrial, power noise, synth pop, and EBM. Therefore this record is very diverse. The fact that even samples from the likes of Speedy J., Janet Jackson and Britney Spears have been used, shows that CLEAR VISION has a wide vision as well. The personal lyrics and the other influences however make “Deception” not a typical (electro)pop album. | |
Highlights on this album are the guitar/industrial orientated ‘Fucker’; the upbeat ‘Pillowtalk’ (thanks to the opening line: ‘You’re so full of shit’), the distorted Dead Can Dance interpretation of ‘American Dreaming’, the relaxed and laid back ‘Calm This Storm’ and the creepy ‘Spider-Hero’. The end result of “Deception” is a good solid album on which everyone will find something of his/her liking. (Beautevil) |
