This is the 8th album of the blues man from the village of Hell, since his debut “Boogie All Over Your Head” from 1984. For those of you who don’t know Michael Katon: this guitarist’s live shows sometimes are guitar orgies/jams that last over two hours. He is one of those people who can really lose themselves in a solo. Pity these escapades are hardly present on the albums. | |
Nevertheless this album is loaded with filthy, powerful blues, straight from the swamps. The songs on this album contain some traditional blues, but most tracks remind of Rory Gallagher and SRV to Molly Hatchet and AC/DC influences. Something for everyone who is into rough edged, mean blues(rock). (Cor) |
