There is a new pearl to be released and it is called ‘The Birth Of Tragedy’. I’m talking about the latest release of Ritual Carnage and it shall not pass many thrashers, for this is an album that must be cherished.
The outstanding musicians of Ritual Carnage have delivered the perfect thrash-album. This album is one of the best I’ve heard in a long time and I dare emphasize that they can measure themselves with, for example, a great band like Slayer. In fact, there is more than one aspect of ‘The Birth Of Tragedy’ that reminds of Slayer. The entire 38 minutes, this album goes on in a ravishing tempo, that leaves no room for posers.
This album is also well mixed and produced, that is why there is almost nothing left to criticize. | |
The only minor of ‘The Birth Of Tragedy’, is it’s limited duration. It only lasts for 38 minutes and that’s a shame, but it won’t ruin the eleven excellent songs on this album.
They pay their respect to Chuck Schuldiner, by covering the song ‘Infernal Death’. This song is originally found on ‘Scream Bloody Gore’ by Death. They cover the song very well, even the solo sounds great, my compliments.
There are also some bonus tracks available, namely ‘Evil Will Avenge’ and ‘Dialouge of Bullets’. They can be found on the very limited digi-pack. For the vinyl-freaks among us, there will be a bonus 7”. So prepare for severe neck pain, because you will be banging your head relentlessly to this latest release of Ritual Carnage. (Pieke) |
