This live album “Voices Of The Wretched” was recorded at the 013 venue in Tilburg, The Netherlands at March 01, 2001 during the Peacefest 2001 festival. It kicks off with “She Is In The Dark” off the album “The Light At The End Of The World” The first thing that catches my attention is the brilliant sound on this live album; especially the well-known and atmospheric guitar sound by Andrew Craighan and Hamish Glencross and the characteristic vocals by Aaron Stainthorpe. “The Voice Of The Wretched” covers all albums from the first EP “Symphonaire Infernus Et Spera Empyrium” (Symphonaire….) until the latest studio release “The Dreadful Hours” (A Cruel Taste Of Winter) A beautiful track from the highly underestimated experimental album “34.

788%…Complete” (Under Your Wings And Into Your Arms) makes this album one hundred percent complete. How can you review a live album without the actual visuals, which is an important part of the show? Just by listening to the performance skills? Well, in this case it’s magnificent. Honor to the sound engineer/producer of this album, who is able to capture the right atmosphere and vibe that normally is there at a My Dying Bride performance. A beautiful collection of tracks of a decade of My Dying Bride fit into an outstanding live album.
