I have never been a huge fan of this band from Connecticut, but when I heard they had changed their style of music for this album, I got very curious. Death Threat’s old-school roots have been fuelled by their recent tours with powerhouses like American Nightmare, Carry On and Agnostic Front, so it’s no surprise that this has its influence on the sound. Singer Aaron and co. have clearly taken their inspiration out of the old New York hardcore sound. If you would mix some of Death Threat’s heavier parts with elements of Madball and Cause For Alarm (especially Aaron’s voice), you’d get a clear picture of the music on this album.

Most of the songs are raw and fast (well, what can you expect with 14 songs in 25 minutes!?) with some nice breakdowns thrown in. Besides their own material Death Threat has also chosen to cover “Bombshell” by Operation Ivy, which kind of falls out of line with the rest of the songs on this decent old-school NYHC album.
