Only two songs by the masters of doom. It seems to me these songs were recorded during the As Heaven Turns To Ash -sessions but never made it to the album. Truly heavy doom but just not as overwhelming as the album. What separates Warhorse from the ever-growing doom crowd is the variation in riffs and dynamics within the songs. They can slowly build up from almost silence to magnificent climaxes.

These two songs are more typical doom than we’re used to hear on Warhorse records. Still it’s far better than any other band of the current wave of doom. So, if you’re into this and want to own a limited edition 7" by one of the best bands the genre has to offer, you’d better order it at Southern Lord asap
