The good thing about this compilation is that it enables you to get acquainted with both sides of the gothic/electro world. The negative part is that the gothic CD is mostly filled with songs from bands that have listened too well to the eighties. Most of the bands could be bands that were already out there in the eighties (like the Cure and the Sisters Of Mercy). Positive highlights are however the songs from Diva Destruction (‘The Broken Ones’), the Mission (‘Slave (To Lust)’ – talking about the eighties), the pretty electronic Mortiis (‘You Put A Hex On Me’), Elusive (‘The Circle That Never Ends’) and – our own – Clan Of Xymox (‘I Want You Now’).

The electro CD definitely has got more variation in it, but if you see Diary Of Dreams (‘Butterfly: Dance’) and Diorama (‘Advance’) together with acts like Hocico (‘Untold Blasphemies’) and Terminal Choice (‘Der Schwarze Mann’) you know enough. If this doesn’t mean anything to you then it’s time to get this CD, because the highlights of electronic darkness and gothic dark wave are on it. Welcome in the world of wonders…
