Freedom Call is Viking metal, with Helloween-like vocals. Not my cup of tea, but I did notice the great guitar playing. In several songs, such as ‘Ages of Power’ there is also grunt, which is quite unusual for a band that makes this kind of music. ‘Eternity’ is the band’s third CD, and according to them, it’s a lot different than the previous two. This CD contains two songs on which the band uses acoustic guitars for the first time, namely ‘Bleeding Heart’ and ‘Turn Back Time’.

This gives a special effect, with the fast drums and the vocals. Maybe these alien elements (which are also new for the band itself) make this band so popular, because they have toured with bands like Hammerfall, Saxon and Stratovarius. The band are currently touring Germany and Spain, so go see them if you have the chance! I rate this CD a 7.
