Bloodletting The 11th studio album for Overkill. Is a new album with new guitarist Dave Linsk. He is the replacement of the two previous guitarists Sebastian Marino and Joe Comeau. (Sebastian Marino got married and Joe Comeau was asked to join Annihilator as their new vocalist.) Dave Linsk has the responsibility to replace two well-known guitarists, and to maintain the Overkill sound. He succeeded in a very terrific way. Overkill produced the album by there self. With Colin Richardson, whom did the end mix. Overkill has delivered an old-school trash album. This album contains the best guitar parts since the Killing kind. They honored their own name, because this is where Overkill stands for.

Uncomplicated solid trash with some melancholic sideways. It`s trash like good old Exodus, Evil Dead and Testament. The Opening song "Thunderhead" sounds as it`s given name. Necroshine and From the underground… contains some experimental elements, with samples and a different way of building a song. Overkill 2000 sounds like the Killing Kind album (1996), this means progression in the riffs. Plus the familiar voice of Blitz, makes this an album, which you can`t miss in your collection Overkill records. You must see them on tour together with Rob Halford so it will be stunning, that`s for sure. Let the musically blood flow.
