Here again one of Hammerheart`s free samplers containing songs of 5 bands. This one`s called the masters of murder and who do you think got the honor to open this release? Exactly, Macabre. With two songs of their latest release called "Dahmer". Macabre plays thrash-orientated death-metal with some old-school influences and of course their lyrics on a few of their most favorite serial killers. On this sampler you can listen to "Hitchhiker" and "Konerak". Next up is Broken Hope. Their melodic death-metal with unexpected twists and rhythm changes is great to listen to. But mainly Broken Hope likes to play at high-speeds. On this release you can hear "Necro Fellatio" and "Earth Burner" of their "Grotesque Blessings" release. The third Hammerheart band on this sampler is the fantastic melodic black-death-thrash formation Die Apocalyptischen Reiter. I have to admit that most of the riffs they play are kind of stolen from other bands I know.

But who cares. I don`t. From their debut "All you Need is Love" we can enjoy "Unter der Asche" and "Gone". Then it`s time for one of my most favorite Dutch death metal band. Severe Torture. Together with bands as Centurian, Houwitser, Xenomorph, Pyaemia they kind of form the death metal Premier League in Holland. I personally like this band very much. Extreme death metal mixed with some grind influences. This certainly is one of the most American sounding death bands from Holland. Also live this band is great to check out. If you`re into death and grind then run to your local supplier to get "Feasting on Blood". On this release: "Baptized in Virginal Liquid" and "Rest in Flames". The last two bands on this release are Aeternus and Throneaeon. You can read reviews of both bands on another section of this webzine. But the songs "Burning the Shroud" and "Despise for God" certainly are worth to mention.
