Cheers mate. Grab a beer with your friends. Put on a Tankard release and bang your head. Putting on a Tankard release always should be a legal reason for drinking beer. And to celebrate their 20 years of drinking beer and spreading 11 official studio releases (if I am correct) Tankard brings out B-Day, a brand-new studio album with lots of typical Tankard songs. Like newborn Tankard classics “Rectifier” with the great chorus, or the alcohol related songs as “Alcoholic Nightmares” or “Need Money for Beer”. Tankard is one of these bands who shits on trends and always will be true to their thrash roots. Thrash till you die. Not innovative, not original, but Tankard is one of these bands that will not let down their fans by doing something completely unpredictable. | |
Great band, great music, and perhaps that’s the reason why Tankard has such a steady fan base. The production sounds very tight, so Tankard fans can buy this release with their eyes closed and also metal heads who are into old school thrash should give it a try. If Tankard goes on this way I guess they can also keep up the next twenty years. To close this review some Tankard facts. Did you know that Tankard: -released two German schlager records under the name Tankwart.
-were never bootlegged.
-did a Japanese tour back in 1999, for two dates.
Cheers mates. I think I am gonna grab another one. (Teun) |
