NoFX!!!!! Whoooaaaa...... is Sven worthy of writing something about them? Who knows, I’ll give it a try anyway...

It’s been a while since NoFx released their "Pump Up The Valium" CD. However if you’re a NoFx fan without an LP-player this one’s worth waiting for. You’ll get 45 or 46 songs that weren’t good enough to go on other albums, yeah right! Not good enough? 50% of Sven seems to feel anything NoFX releases is so brilliant it’s beyond conmprehension... the other 50% would like to note if you’re looking for a CD with some serious lyrical content this might not be the best NoFx release for you...

Back to the 50% of Sven who has currently reached a state of total oblivion and also owns pretty much every NoFX release (CD and LP). All these songs aren’t new. All of them have appeared on various compilations, and 7”s. This record consists of two discs. The first, called Counting Sheep, contains twenty-one songs. One is new, “Pimps And Hookers”, one is a dub remix of “Eat The Meek” and the rest have been previously released on EP, 7” or compilations.

The second disc is called Catching Zzz’s and contains the 7”s “Fuck The Kids” and “Surfer”. Furthermore the songs “I’m Telling Tim” and “Murder The Government” of the album “So Long And Thanks For All The Shoes” seem to have found their way on this release as well. The title “45 Or 46 Songs That Weren’t Good Enough To Go On Our Other Records” isn’t actually the truth (not that Sven cares).

So to tie things up you may feel a little bit screwed, but on the other hand it is a NoFX CD and the booklet included with this CD is better than most. It’s a 32 page booklet with a lot of Fat Mike’s stories and photo’s. The 50% NoFX fan in Sven is happy with the CD and the booklet. The other 50% (not owning all that NoFX stuff) gets a rather cool CD with a lot of different NoFX songs (he hasn’t heard before). Making it worth your money, two CD’s for the price of one!
