I got this obscure compilation from my colleague Beautevil who had some difficulty reviewing this CD. That’s fully understandable, because it contains electronic, experimental, sometimes noisy tracks that can’t be listened to while reading a book or having a candlelight dinner.
This compilation needs time to get used to, but it’s really worth listening to if you like this style of ambient noises and soundscapes. The atmosphere is dark and threatening. The first two tracks are very basic and they build up tension. In the next track from Deep Grave, called “Bouncyyy”, you’ll hear a very cold and distorted voice at first, noisy beats in the background, ending in despair and the sound of insects at night.
Be prepared for some very heavy distorted sounding radio waves now in the next contribution.
Can it get any weirder? Sure!
Kloroform uses a piano sample, classic vocals in the background and a sample of a very desperate man crying out:”Oh my god!”. | |
Also worth mentioning is track 9, entitled “Ftmcomp” from a project called “.g.a.”. This song has that rising tension and some classical music influences as well. You’ve got to have an open mind to like this, or be a psychopath. But it’s definitely daring and something completely different from anything you’ve ever heard before.
But when listening to Das Fleisch with “Liebestod”, there’s some recognition. This sounds like earlier work from Orphx. Great stuff and one of the most accessible tracks of this compilation. The last track from Groyxo is complete chaos and terror. There is no better end to this piece of work.
Overall, you could say that you have to dare listening to this compilation, but before you do: don’t say I didn’t warn you! (Ornny) |
