The Magna Carta label is one of the leading Progressive Rock labels in the world, next to Inside Out. A band that has released 3 albums previously and now comes up with their 4th one is Shadow Gallery and let me tell you ladies and gentlemen, this is the best album of the entire catalogue... They take their time to write and record the songs, usually a couple of years but it is always very much worth the wait... `Legacy` is Shadow Gallery at its` very best, there`s so much good songwriting on it, so much spirit and originality that it is really unbelievable. `Cliffhanger 2` kicks off the album in an almost modest but beautiful and melodic manner; 13 minutes of re-aquatinting Shadow Gallery. It becomes very soon very clear that they have put their best skills an talents in...the same goes for `Destination Unknown` but after track 3, `Colors`, the band lifts itself to an even higher level and stays there for the rest of the album with an even higher peak at the end; `First Light`.

Although clocked in at 34:18 minutes it is really just under 30 minutes, the six minutes of silence between the songs ending and the New Age like outro doesn`t count. Still, a piece of 30 minutes...so damn inspired, moving and breathtaking that it seems unearthly. The trademark of Shadow Gallery is probably the impressive harmony vocals combined with a very own style of Prog Rock / Metal. Not to put on the same shelve as many other bands in the genre. And the big question that still is unanswered, as long as Shadow Gallery`s existence; when the hell is this band coming over to dazzle the European clubs? With an album release like this they simply have to...THEY HAVE TO!!
